Minister of petroleum and mineral resources Eng Ali Al-Niami met here today with French Minister of Economy, Finance, & Industry Thierry Breton and the accompanying delegation. They reviewed the current situation in the petroleum market and means of enhancing cooperation between the petroleum producing and consuming countries. Following the meeting, Al-Naimi said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and France are linked with close relations at all levels. He noted that there is a joint work between the two countries in the field of petroleum including exchange of visits and views. "This current visit of the French minister comes within this framework',he said. Al-Naimi said the Kingdom and France are keen on the stability of the petroleum market in a manner that serves the world economy, notably the economies of the developing countries. The meeting was attended by a number of senior officials.
