SAUDI BORDER GUARDS IN THE SOUTHERN REGION OF NAJRAN, FOILED AN ATTEMPT TO SMUGGLE 233 KILOGRAMS OF HASHISH INTO SAUDI ARABIA BY A GROUP OF TRAFFICKERS WHO TRIED TO DO SO BY WALKING ACROSS THE MOUNTAINOUS BORDERS.
FOLLOWING THE FOILED ATTEMPT, PRINCE MISHAAL BIN SAUD BIN ABDULAZIZ, GOVERNOR OF NAJRAN REGION, COMMENDED THE WORK OF THE SAUDI BORDER GUARDS IN NAJRAN REGION.
COMMANDER OF SAUDI BORDER GUARDS IN NAJRAN REGION MAJOR GENERAL ABDULLAH ALGHAMDI SAID THE BORDER GUARDS DETECTED THE SMUGGLERS, PURSUED THEM, EXCHANGED FIRE WITH THEM AND ARRESTED A NUMBER OF THEM WHILE CONFISCATING 233 KILOGRAMS OF HASHISH.
