DOCTORS GAVE FRENCH PRESIDENT JACQUES CHIRAC A CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH ON SUNDAY, EIGHT MONTHS AFTER HE SUFFERED A BLOOD VESSEL PROBLEM THAT AFFECTED HIS VISION AND CAUSED HEADACHES.
"THE RESULTS ARE TOTALLY SATISFACTORY AND SHOW A COMPLETE RE-ABSORPTION OF THE HAEMATOMA," THE VAL-DE-GRACE MILITARY HOSPITAL IN PARIS SAID IN A STATEMENT QUOTED BY REUTERS.
CHIRAC, NOW 73, WAS ADMITTED TO THE HOSPITAL FOR A WEEK IN SEPTEMBER AFTER COMPLAINING OF BAD HEADACHES AND BLURRED VISION, AND TESTS REVEALED A HAEMATOMA.
