Jeddah's Chamber of Commerce and Industry will host here on Thursday a Forum on "the Saudi stock market" under the title of "The Investment Vision and the Social Dimensions" with the participation of more than 1,500 economists, businessmen, businesswomen and dealers. Ziad Al-Bassam, the Deputy Chairman of the Chamber's Board of Directors said the Forum is convened at a time when greater attention is accorded to the Saudi stock market. Addressing a press conference in Jeddah on Friday, he said the Forum aims at enlightening dealers at the stock market and enabling them to be aware of the modern trends in stock markets. On his part, Faisal Hamza, the Chairman of the Financial Consulting House, said the Forum which will be jointly organized by the House and the Jeddah Chamber. "It will be the first forum to discuss the situation at the stock market as well as its development and impact." He noted that the Forum will review the important role of the economy in developing the investment activities, relationship between the economy and the stock market, the impact of the economic policies on the stock market and other related topics. Meanwhile, Sami Idrees, the Head of the Forum's organizing committee, hoped that the forum would provide solutions based on a realistic analysis of investors. On her part, Nayla Attar, the Head of the Female Committee at the Forum, underlined the importance of the participation of women in the Forum. She pointed out that the Forum will provide a good opportunity to exchange views with qualified experts on issues pertaining to investment.
