The Ministry of Trade and Industry is to issue permits for home-run businesses, the head of the ministry's Businesswomen's Center Asma Al-Me'a'jil has said. Al-Me'a'jil, speaking at the first Businesswomen's Forum last Monday at the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry, looked at the ministry's work to promote women's investments, noting the authorization for Businesswomen's Centers to issue commercial registrations without referring to the ministry. The Chairman of the Businesswomen's Committee, Su'aad Al-Zaydi, said the forum hoped to highlight women's economic successes and encourage discussions on their role in national development and in improving the investment environment in the Eastern Province.
