Minister of Health Dr Hamad Al-Manei has reiterated the keenness of the Health Ministry on diagnosis and treatment of asthma. Speaking on the occasion of the International Asthma Day, Dr Al-Manei said the Ministry has been extending the required support to the scientific committee for diagnosis and treatment of asthma. Dr Al-Manei said that the Ministry has trained more than 3,500 health care physicians for treating asthma. "Moreover, 500 additional physicians from the private sector have also been trained each in Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam and Madinah." Dr Al-Manei called for intensification of efforts to shed light on this disease, noting that the international asthma day will be observed this year under the motto of "Let Us Work Together for a Better Health."
