Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz was appointed member of the International Relations Committee, an affiliate of the International Olympic Committee, it was announced here today. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Prince Nawaf, in Rabat to attend meetings of the OIC, said he was notified of the decision of the OIC Chairman Dr. Jacques Rogge appointing him as memebr of the IRC, one of the most important bodies following-up and implementing the humanitarian programs of the IOC . He said the new assignment would give the kingdom another chance to serve the world community in line with to the noble values of Isalm. He cited the role of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee in implementing the OIC programs at the local, regional, continental and international arenas over the past years under direct instructions of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdualziz, and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premeir, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, and follow-up of Prince Sultan bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, the President of Youth Welfare.
