Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Vice-President of Youth Welfare of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, took part in the first of the 118th meetings of the International Olympic Committee which started here today. Following the meeting, the first of three scheduled meetings, Prince Nawaf said the members of the committee listened to a number of reports presented by the Chairman of the OIC Jack Rock, including the activities and programs implemented by the committee in 2005, and other sub-committees' activities. On the sidelines of the meeting, Prince Nawaf also called on FIFA Chairman Joseph Platter, Chairman of African Football Federation Isa Hayato, Chairman of International Handball Federation Hasan Mustafa, Chairman of International Track and Field Federation Lamin Diak, and a number of IOC members including Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Heir Apparent of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Ahmed Alfahd Alahmed Alsabah, Minister of Energy of the State of Kuwait, Nawal Almutawakkel of Morocco and Ranya A'lwani of Egypt.
