Security forces shot and killed a man in a remote northwestern tribal region in Pakistan after he threw a hand grenade at their vehicles near the Afghan border Saturday, an intelligence official said. The attack injured two soldiers on the outskirts of the main town in North Waziristan, Miran Shah, said the official. Miran Shah has been the scene of scores of Pakistani military operations against militants in recent years. «Our forces killed the attacker when he tried to run away after hurling the grenade,» the official told The Associated Press. The man's body was with the security forces, he said, adding he was apparently from the tribal region.
