MIDDLE EAST EDUCATION CONFERENCE AMMAN, APRIL 9, SPA -- THE FIRST CONFERENCE FOR COOPERATION OF UNIVERSITIES AND EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS IN THE MIDDLE EAST REGION BEGAN HERE TODAY ITS DELIBERATIONS. DELEGATIONS REPRESENTING UNIVERSITIES AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS IN 53 ARAB, MUSLIM AND EUROPEAN COUNTRIES, INCLUDING THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA ARE PARTICIPATING IN THE TWO-DAY CONFERENCE. THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE CONFERENCE ARE SCHEDULED TO REVIEW ASPECTS OF COOPERATION AMONG THE UNIVERSITIES AND EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS IN THE MIDDLE EAST REGION. THEY WILL ALSO REVIEW WORKING PAPERS ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SYSTEM OF THE HIGHER EDUCATION. THE CONFERENCE IS ORGANIZED UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE GROUP OF THE EUROPEAN COUNTRIES IN COOPERATION WITH THE JORDANIAN MINISTRY OF HIGHER EDUCATION.
