GHAT, SAUDI ARABIA, APRIL 6, SPA-- PRINCE SULTAN BIN SALMAN BIN ABDULAZIZ, THE SECRETARY GENERAL OF SUPREME COMMISSION FOR TOURISM ANNOUNCED THE LAUNCHING OF THE FIRST PHASE OF AN ESTABLISHMENT PROJECT OF A HERITAGE VILLAGES DEVELOPMENT FUND THAT WILL BE APPLIED TO FIVE CITIES IN THE KINGDOM TO DEVELOP LOCAL SOCIETIES AND TO PROMOTE TOURIST INVESTMENT. IN A CEREMONY HELD IN AL-GHAT GOVERNORATE ON WEDNESDAY EVENING, PRINCE SULTAN BIN SALMAN SAID THE FUND WILL BE FINANCED BY DONATIONS, SUBSIDIES AND GRANTS, NOTING THAT A DECISION OF THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS ALLOWS GOVERNMENTAL BODIES TO ACCEPT CASH AND CORPORATE FUNDS TO PROTECT HERITAGE. THE DONATIONS OF AL-GHAT'S CITIZENS AND ATTENDANCE AMOUNTED TO MORE THAN SR 5 MILLION. THE CEREMONY WAS ATTENDED BY PRINCE DR. ABDULAZIZ BIN AYYAF AL MIQREN, THE MAYOR OF RIYADH REGION.
