Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh Region, today inspected Wadi Hanifa environmental rehabilitation project. He was received by a number of officials, led by Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Ayyaf Al Miqren, Mayor of Riyadh Region, who briefed him on the construction works completed. The 80-kilo-long project aims at first reconstructing Wadi Hanifa to its natural situation through streamlining rain, food and sewage waters and second constructing new touristic, agricultural and water treatment facilities. The project's cost was estimated at SR360 million. So far, 70 percent of the project has been completed, Prince Ayyaf told the governor.
