A man has taken a 2-year-old child hostage at a central Brussels hotel on Saturday, Belgian media reported, according to AP. The man was threatening to set off explosives at the Tulip Inn hotel at Place Rogier, Broadcaster VTM reported, but police declined to confirm if he had made any threats. Police are trying to negotiate with the man, who shut himself in a hotel room on the 17th floor at 1400 GMT. Firefighters brigade and paramedics are also on standby. The hotel and two nearby buildings have been evacuated.
