Flames could be seen at the furnished apartment hotel in Jizan's Al-Safa District, Wednesday. Civil Defense personnel evacuated 17 guests, including women and children, after a fire broke out because an electric transformer exploded. Capt. Yahya Al-Qahtani, spokesman for the Civil Defense in Jizan, said the fire was limited to two rooms. Three rescue, first aid and firefighter teams were sent to the scene and evacuated the guests, who were not harmed, he added. The three-floor building was surrounded by police, Red Crescent and ambulance teams. The smoke could be seen from a long distance, which led to many people gathering at the scene. (Okaz Photo) __
