Two persons were killed overnight when a tornado struck the US mid-western state of Missouri, while another tornado caused damage in the neighbouring state of Illinois, reports said Sunday, according to DPA. Two motorists on a highway some 140 kilometres south of the city of St. Louis were killed when their vehicle was hurled against a propane gas tank. Reports said the tornado left a 30-kilometre trail of destruction in southern Missouri, leaving 10 persons injured and many homes badly damaged.
