Two police officers were killed and four others injured in an attack on a patrol car in southeastern Turkey on Monday, Turkish media reported, according to DPA. The attack occurred in the city of Batman when unidentified gunmen opened fire on the police car. The two victims died from their injuries in hospital. Provincial governor Haluk Imga said the police officers were fired on by "two terrorists" but it was unclear if they were Kurdish extremists.
