A fishing boat attempting to carry 41 illegal immigrants from Turkey to Greece sunk off Turkey's Aegean coastal town of Cesme on Saturday, the Turkish news agency Anadolu reported, according to DPA. All the would-be immigrants from the Middle East and North Africa were able to make it ashore and were taken into police custody. Also arrested were three Turkish men who are thought to have organized the attempted journey. According to the report, the eight-metre long boat had been stolen.
