Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Anqary, the Minister of Higher Education, opened tonight the cultural activities on the sidelines of Riyadh International Book Fair 2006. A speech ceremony was held to mark the occasion. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Alsibayel, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information for Cultural Affairs, said the Ministry of Culture and Information and the Ministry of Higher Education are cooperating to provide culture to the people as culture and information are part of the life of society. He said there are several lectures and workshops held on the fringes of the exhibition. On his part, the Minister of Higher Education gave away certificates to winners of the Saudi contemporary Arts Contest organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information.
