Khoja, Minister of Culture and Information, is scheduled to launch Sunday evening the 20th Saudi Contemporary Art Exhibition at Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Center for Plastic Art's Model Institute of the Capital in Riyadh. Coinciding with the exhibition is the inauguration of the headquarters of the Saudi Society for Plastic Arts at the center. Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Subaiyel, the ministry's Undersecretary for Cultural Affairs, said 45 artists of both sexes will take part in the exhibition with about 100 works of art executed with various materials and contemporary methods including abstractionism, impressionism, surrealism, realism, cubism and symbolism. He added that the ministry has allocated financial awards for artists participating in the exhibition and has printed a brochure about the winning artwork and other works of art in the exhibition to be distributed to visitors.
