Minister of higher education Dr Khaled Al-Anqari inaugurated here on Monday a Forum on "modern trends in organization of international book exhibitions." Speaking on the occasion, Dr Al-Anqari said the Forum aims at shedding light on the modern trends in the field of organizing international book exhibitions. He pointed out that the exhibition, which is organized under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for the first time, constitutes an evolution to the international book shows used to be organized by some Saudi universities like King Saud University and Imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic University. Dr Al-Anqari hailed the role played by the ministry of culture and information, the general presidency for youth welfare and other concerned governmental authorities in the organization of the exhibition. He noted that the exhibition will be accompanied by a cultural activity. It is worth mentioning that a number of publishers, directors of book shows, literary men, academicians and media men are participating in the Forum.
