On behalf of Prince Abdul-Majeed Bin Abdul Aziz, the Governor of Makkah region, Mayor of Jeddah Adel Faqeeh will inaugurate on Sunday the fourth Jeddah international real estate exhibition (JIREX), Saudi Gazette reported today. The exhibition is considered the second most important event after Jeddah Economic Forum, said an official of the organizing company. A number of both local and international real estate companies will participate this year. A total of 135 companies from the Kingom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Yemen and Malaysia will exhibit their products and services. The event is predicted to attract more than half a million visitors this year. Almost half-a-million visitors visited the exhibition last time with a total of SR6 billion worth of deals conducted, said the official. This year's program will include lectures and seminars about real estate economics presented by a number of academics and businessmen. The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce real estate committee is supervising the event.
