Swedish defense and aerospace company Saab AB posted an almost 8 percent drop in fourth-quarter net profit Wednesday, mainly as a result of restructuring charges. The Linkoping-based company said its net profit came to 568 million kronor (¤60.1 million, US$72.4 million) for the October-December period, compared with 614 million kronor in the same period last year, the Associated Press reported. The net profit was weighed down by 158 million kronor (¤16.9 million, US$20.2 million) in restructuring costs, the company said. Revenue rose to 6.86 billion kronor (¤735 million, US$875 million), from 5.76 billion kronor in the year-ago period.
