Electrolux AB, the world's biggest maker of household appliances, said Tuesday it would spin off its outdoor products unit as it reported a drop in fourth-quarter profit. The Stockholm-based company posted a net profit of 728 million kronor (¤80.2 million; US$103.9 million), or 2.5 kronor (¤0.27, US$0.35) a share, for the quarter that ended Dec. 31, compared with 1.15 billion kronor, or 3.7 kronor a share, a year earlier. Revenue was 28.6 billion kronor (¤3.1 billion, US$4 billion), up slightly from 28.3 billion kronor in the same period last year. The company also said it would delist its American Depositary Receipts from the Nasdaq Stock Market, citing low trading volume.
