Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, underlined the importance of the firmness of relations binding the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain as the framework that guarantee the success of any joint venture between the two economies. Speaking at the opening session of the First Economic Forum for Saudi and Bahraini Businessmen in Manama today, Shaikh Khalifa said the event embodies the extent of the deep-rooted historic relations between the two countries and is considered an opportunity to consolidate the economic and commercial partnership between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. He said the forum is considered a chance for having an in-depth look to the investment opportunities and competitive capabilities available in the two countries, hoping to see more Saudi investment projects in Bahrain. On his part, Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Group for Research and Marketing lauded the role undertaken by the Bahraini Prime Minister in the pioneering economic status the economy of Bahrain is enjoying, citing Bahrain as among the world's leading countries in terms of economic freedom index and those most attractive to foreign investments. He said the forum aims at introducing new investment opportunities in Bahrain and encouraging the set up of joint ventures between the private sectors of the two counties.
