The Interior Ministry has drawn attention to certain important matters for Saudis who are planning to seek entry visas to the US so as to avoid any expected penalty. This comes in line with the observation of the Saudi consulate in Houston of problems facing some Saudi youth due to their ignorance of the specified regulations. The statement said any applicant for entry visa should be honest and should tell truth about his personal or academic information. "Moreover, he should get acquainted with residence and immigration regulations of the US." "Any failure to adhere to the regulations will lead to detention or deportation from the US," said the statement. It pointed out to some violations like the entry into the US by an entry visa and then changing it into a visa for studies; or involving in a customs violation due to failure to clarify the proper amount of cash which is carried by the person coming to the US; or registration of incorrect information on the form of admission to the university; failure to continue studies; or registration of number of hours which are less that the average; or shifting from a university or state without informing the concerned authorities; or violation of the rules of electronic mail; or work without a license; or failure to renew the residence visa; or expiry of the validity of the passport or failure to renew it at the specified time; or harassing one of the members of the family; or trying to have an access to prohibited websites on the internet; or trying to reach women and immature children for establishing illegal relations with them.
