Fire-fighters put out a fire that broke out at a refinery owned by Nippon Oil Corp on the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido on Sunday. Fire-fighters said they had taken about three hours to put out the fire at a plant used to pump heavy oil to a nearby refinery in Muroran on Hokkaido, about 740 km (565 miles) north of Tokyo. No one was injured, they said. Company officials were not immediately available to comment on the possible impact of the fire on production, according to a report of Reuters.
