Prince Saud Alfaisal, the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, described Saudi-Malaysian relations as excellent. In a press statement in Kuala Lumpur today, he expressed happiness for the confidence Malaysia has in the kingdom's policy and its international role as a country seeking peace, security, stability, equality and common interests among countries. Prince Saud said Malaysia appreciates the role played by Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz leading to the great progress achieved in the kingdom during the previous years especially during the last two years. Prince Saud denied the existence of any obstacles in the field of issuing visas to visitors of the kingdom. He said the Foreign Ministry is currently applying the electronic government which covers all countries of the world. He added that any Chinese, Indian or Malaysian citizen can get a visa within 24 hours. Prince Saud stressed keenness to implement resolutions by the Islamic Summit conference held in Makkah recently. In response to Saudi Arabia's stand over the insult by a Danish newspaper to the Prophet peace be upon him, Prince Saud said all Muslims were disturbed by this insult because it ridicules Islamic sanctities but the boycott of Danish goods has been taken by the people. He added that the Saudi ambassador to Denmark "was recalled because the issue is very sensitive. We are waiting a positive response from the Danish government. This has not happened yet," he said. On Hamas's win of the Palestinian elections, he said, "Hamas was a movement. Now, it is a government. I think they will behave responsibly as a government. The international community should see first what this government will do instead of judging Hamas based on the language it used when it was a movement."
