Five people were killed and ten others seriously injured when a mini-bus collided with a car on a highway in central Yemen on Saturday, police said, according to DPA. They said the bus collided head-on with a speeding jeep travelling in the opposite direction near the town of Maabar in the central province of Dhamar. Medics were rushed to the scene to offer first aid to the injured victims. Fifteen passengers were admitted to a hospital in Dhamar, some 100 kilometres south of the capital Sanaa, but five of them were dead on arrival, police officials said. Some of the other injured passengers were in critical condition.
