The city's trade exhibitions for the new calendar year open with MEETES - Middle East education and training show and symposium. The United States, Britain, Canada, Switzerland, Germany, France, Australia, Malaysia, India, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan are among the major participants who will showcase their institutions involved in education and training programs at the exhibition scheduled from March 5-9, according to a report published today by Arab News. "A symposium will also be held on the sidelines of the exhibition in cooperation with the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce & Industry," Zahoor Siddique, exhibitions director of Al-Harithy Company for Exhibitions Ltd., said yesterday. The annual International Trade Fair will follow from March 19-23. This will be the Kingdom's 24th multisectoral trade and franchising expo for light industries and machinery, consumer goods, giftware, clothing, textiles, leather goods, fashion accessories, cosmetics and perfumes, which will run in conjunction with Lifestyle - the international event for furniture, furnishings, fabrics, floor and wall coverings lighting, kitchens and bathrooms, and interiors and exteriors. --MORE 11 03 Local Time 08 03 GMT
