Faisal, Emir of Makkah Region, will patronize one of the Kingdom's largest medical exhibitions under the title “Health Care from a New Perspective” on May 11 here at the Al-Harthy International Exhibition Center. More than 140 local and international companies will participate in the four-day expo which will attract a large number of businessmen, investors and members of the general public. “The exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Health, is the city's 16th international exhibition of medical equipment, the sixth related to hospitals and the second in the field of physical fitness. So this can really be considered to be three exhibitions in one,” said Zahoor Siddique, Director of Al-Harthy Exhibition Center. According to Siddique, physical fitness is an important and growing market in the Kingdom, and many companies will bring the latest fitness programs and equipment to the exhibition which will be of interest to businessmen and private citizens alike. The exhibition will also display a wide range of items of interest to those involved in medicine, medical insurance, pharmacy, labs, and hospitals. According to Siddiqe, apart from the Kingdom, several countries will participate in the exhibition, such as, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, China, and Switzerland, besides many countries from the Arab World, all of which will display their latest medical products and equipment. The International Medical Center in cooperation with the Cleveland Clinic and Al-Harthy Company will arrange several medical symposiums and lectures on the sidelines of the exhibition, during which experts from the Ministry of Health will discuss the latest themes in surgery and specialist medical fields, Siddique said.
