Saudi Aramco wins award

Vela International Marine, Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Saudi Aramco, was recognized at the Dubai International Maritime Awards (DIMA) for its "behavioral based" approach to safety, entitled "Vela VALUE (Vessel Accidents Limited Using Education)."
The award was sponsored by Dubai Drydocks and presented by that company's president to Vela.
Vela has been recognized for its commitment to safety and environmental awareness in various other forums, ranging from the U.S. Chamber of Shipping's Devlin Award for the last five years, to many AMVER and other international awards.
