The passports directorate general has urged all persons who have come to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for performing Hajj rituals to complete procedures pertaining to their return to their countries. 'As the regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia don't allow persons who have come for Hajj to stay back after performing the rituals of Hajj, it will be an essential matter for these persons to complete their departure procedures', said the statement released by the passports directorate general. The statement noted that violators of the Kingdom's regulation will be subject to punishment. The statement underlined the importance of cooperation of citizens and residents with the concerned authorizes by avoiding sheltering, employing or transporting persons who do not carry regular and valid residence permit cards. Citizens or residents who help those irregularly stay back will be punished in line with the set regulations, the statement added. It urged citizens and residents to report about any violation in this respect to the nearest passports administration or to contact the unified number '992'.
