Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz, the President of AGFUND, has highlighted the positive steps taken to activate the role of the woman in the Arab region. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Prince Talal said 'the woman has to play a basic role in the development process'. He pointed out that a number of international organizations including the UNESCO, the World Bank, the European Union (EU) and the International Family Union have expressed readiness to extend support to Tunis-based Arab Woman Center for Training and Research. Prince Talal said the Arab woman Center for Training and Research is concerned with trainings the Arab woman for taking appropriate decisions. Meanwhile, Prince Talal described the assassination of Rafiq Hariri in Beirut as a vicious crime, and said criminals should be deterred and punished. He urged the Arabs to work for correcting wrong impressions and ideas about the Arab world through constructive dialogue.
