The first bus left Lahore for Amritsar (India) carrying 26 passengers for a test run Friday, officials said. It follows the start of Muzaffarabad-Srinagar bus service that was launched in April last year. Punjab minister for tourism Mian Aslam Iqbal sent off the passengers of the bus. Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Communications Firdaus Alam is leading the Pakistani delegation traveling in the bus. Lahore District Coordination Office Mohammed Ijaz, Punjab Tourism Secretary Hassan Nawaz Tarar, some other top officials and folk singer Reshma and her daughter Shazia included in the passengers of the bus.
