Suspected Tamil Tiger rebels
exploded an anti-personnel mine in eastern Sri Lanka on
Thursday, injuring 15 soldiers and police, the military
said.
The security personnel were traveling in a truck in
Batticaloa, 220 kilometers (135 miles) east of capital,
Colombo when they came under attack, the military's media
unit was quoted as saying by the Associated Press.
