DETONATED A MINE IN EASTERN SRI LANKA ON WEDNESDAY, KILLING TWO SOLDIERS AND WOUNDING ONE, THE MILITARY SAID, IN CONTINUING VIOLENCE THAT THREATENS TO PUSH THE ISLAND NATION BACK INTO CIVIL WAR.
