A sister of Iraqi Interior Minister Bayan Jabor was freed in Baghdad on Wednesday, two weeks after gunmen attacked her convoy in the capital and kidnapped her, Interior Ministry sources said, according to Reuters. "The Interior Ministry had located her and was closing in on her kidnappers when she was released. She was freed without an offensive. We know who the kidnappers are and are still hunting them," a ministry official said. A second ministry official said: "She's safe and back at her home," when asked if she was in good health. Iraqi security forces launched a major search operation in Baghdad for Jabor's sister, Eman, 43, after she was kidnapped on Jan. 3 by gunmen who drew up alongside her convoy and opened fire, killing a driver and a bodyguard.
