QUDS CITY, Jan 17 (SPA) -- Interim Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said on Tuesday that he hoped to resume peace negotiations with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas after Israel's March 28 general election. But Olmert was quoted as saying by Reuters that such talks would depend on Israel's long-standing demand for Abbas to disarm militant groups, a process the Palestinians are supposed to start under a U.S.-brokered road map to peace.
