As many as 91912 patients reported or were rushed today to hospitals in the sacred places of Makkah and Mina as they fell sick while performing their Hajj rituals, it was reported. A daily statement issued by the Ministry of Health on the general health situation during Hajj said out of this number 715 were hospitalized with 550 already discharged and no epidemic or contagious diseases registered among the pilgrims. The statement said two babies of Egyptian and Indian parents were born in Mina General Hospital. A total of 409145 patients reported to hospitals and clinics since the beginning of Hajj this year, the statement said, adding that the Ministry of Health has set up four hospitals and 30 clinics in Mina. Equipped with 155 ambulances, six emergency centers were established along the Jamarat bridge to evacuate or lift the needy, the statement concluded.
