Pakistan's Commerce Minister Hamyun Akhtar Khan has expressed hope that export target of US$17 billion for current fiscal year 2005-06 would be achieved as industrial growth during first five months of fiscal year (July to November 2005) recorded an increase of about 23 percent. "In view of the outstanding performance of industrial and trade sectors, the government fixed export target for next financial year at $20 billion," he was quoted as saying by Pakistan Press International (PPI). "We are expecting to cross exports worth $25 billion in fiscal 2007-08,'' he told a press conference Saturday in Karachi.
