The Sixth Makkah Conference organized by The Muslim World League (MWL) resumed its deliberations here today. As part of the conference, three sessions have so far been held under the chairmanship of MWL Secretary General Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Turki. In its first session, the participants made an in-depth assessment of the Islamic Curricula in the perspective of four researches presented in this regard. In its second session, they discussed the Call for Reforming the Curricula by reviewing additional four researches. Finally, the participants discussed in the third session the Islamic Education Impact on Justice, Peace and Cooperation among peoples and nations in the light of four more researches dealing with this issue. In all its proceedings, the Conference focused their discussions on the three issues by taking into consideration five concerns, namely the Originality of Islamic Sciences; Specifying Islamic Education Problems and Needs; the Islamic Education Impact on Maintaining the Peoples' Identities; Cooperation Among Islamic Education Institutes to Modernize the Islamic Curricula and the Upcoming Generations' Needs for Developed Curricula Living up to the Latest in the Contemporary Era. The conference is slated to conclude its deliberations this evening at MWL headquarters in Makkah.
