Yemeni tribesmen freed a former German government minister and hostage negotiator, his wife and three children on Saturday after abducting them while they were on holiday and holding them captive for three days, Reuters reported. Yemen's defence minister had been leading talks on securing the release of Juergen Chrobog and his family, who were seized in eastern Yemen on Wednesday by a group of men seeking the release of fellow tribesmen jailed for murder and other crimes. Chrobog and his family were handed over to Yemeni officials and flew from eastern Shabwa province to Aden.
