The Saudi Scouts Society has been playing an important role in serving pilgrims every year. It has set up more than 30 scout-centers in Mina, Arafat, and the Holy Places to extend guidance and other services to pilgrims during this year's Hajj season. The Society will also help the Health Ministry in its medical and health services to the pilgrims by about 270 scout boys inside Makkah and the Holy Places. The scout boys will also work at the health centers inside the Holy Mosque, Ajiad hospital, the general hospital of Arafat, the hospital of Jabal al-Rahma, the general hospital of Namira, the hospitals of Mina and other hospitals. The scout boys play an important role in helping the missing pilgrims and guiding them to their camps. The scout boys follow up peddlers and prevent them from illegally displaying their commodities. They also inspect the commercial shops to ensure that their owners have obtained the required health certificates and official licenses. It is worth mentioning that the Riyadh-based Saudi Scouts Society, established in 1381 (1962), works in cooperation with the authorities concerned with youth care inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as well as with the scouts organizations in the Arab, Muslim and foreign countries.
