Minister of commerce Dr Hashim Yamani has highlighted the importance of the admission of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the World Trade Organization (WTO), and said this development woudl enable the Kingdom to market its products in the WTO's member states. In a statement to SPA, Dr Yamani reiterated the keenness of the Kingdom to honor its commitments towards the WTO. He noted that the future commitments towards the WTO include reduction of agricultural subsidies by 13.3 percent next year as well as reduction of custom tariffs on some commodities.
