Secretary General of Makkah-based Muslim World League (MWL) Dr Abdullah Bin Abdul-Mohsin Al-Turki will be awarded the prize of the Sudanese President for the Islamic call. This was announced in a message sent by Dr Mubarak al-Majzoub, the Sudanese Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to Dr Al-Turki. Dr Majzoub said in his message that Dr Al-Turki was named for the prize in recognition of his significant role in the field of the Islamic call. He noted that Sudanese President Omar al-Basheer will present the prize to Dr Al-Turki at a special ceremony due to be attended by a number of Arab Culture ministers. Meanwhile, Dr Ahmad Ali Al-Imam, the Advisor of the Sudanese President, said the prize was instituted after the name of the Sudanese President, and it will be awarded annually to Muslim scholars, innovators and press men in the Arab world. The awarding ceremony will be organized on Dec 31, 2005.
