Renowned International media will take part in covering the 3rd Extraordinary Islamic summit in Makkah this week, officials said. Dr. Salih Alnamlah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information for Foreign Information, told the Saudi Press Agency that in addition to several Arab satellite channels, a number of international television channels, including CNN, CBS, Turkish TRT, Malaysian TV and Turkish 7 will be covering the event. In a statement following a tour of the Information Center at the Jeddah-based Conferences Palace, Alnamlah said more than 150 media representatives from all over the world started to arrive in Jeddah on the last two days to get ready for a proper media coverage. He noted that the Ministry of Culture and Information has installed special centers for TV transmission at the conference palace and other information centers to cover the events of the summit.
