The Shoura Council held its 49th ordinary session under the chairmanship of its Vice Chairman Mahmoud Taiba in Riyadh today. At the outset of the meeting, the members discussed the paragraphs B and F of article 2 of the Executive Instructions of the Social Observation Houses (reformatories)regulation tackling the issue of infiltrators or smuggled juveniles. The Council agreed that no need to exempt the subjects in those two paragraphs from punishments as the authorities were requested to make sure that infiltrators or smuggled juveniles were subject, when apprehended, to proper custody regulations. Then the Council was briefed on the report of the Shoura delegation to the "Parliamentarians as UNESCO Partners" meeting held in Cairo on November 26, 2005. Then the members discussed proposed amendments on the act of the Technical Education and Vocational Training Corporation, but postponed voting upon request of the subcommittee in charge of the matter. The final report on the Civil Aviation Commission for the fiscal year 1423/1424 H. was also reviewed but voting was withheld for a future session.
