The ministers of interior of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries concluded their 24th periodic meeting here today . Prince Ahmad bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Interior headed the Saudi delegation to the meeting on behalf of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Interior Minister, In their statement, the ministers welcomed the results of the International Anti-Terrorism Conference hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in February, 2005 and its adoption of the proposal of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to set up an International Anti-Terrorism Center. They reaffirmed the GCC's renunciation of terrorism in all its forms and sources, noting that terrorism is an international phenomenon which has nothing to do with a certain country, religion or nationality. The ministers called again for crystallizing world common efforts to combat terrorism, uproot it and choke off its financial sources of organized security crimes including money laundering and smuggling narcotics, weapons and explosives. They agreed on the GCC's extradition agreement.
