Prince Ahmad bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Interior Minister, has denied the accusation that Iran is spreading narcotics in member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). "It is difficult to blame Iran as a state and a government for such a matter. However, narcotics may pass via its (Iranian) territories through some regions in Afghanistan and other regions which produce narcotics," said Prince Ahmed in a press statement here last night after patronizing the inaugural ceremony of the 2nd Forum of Committees for Welfare of Inmates, the Released and their Families "Tarahum". Prince Ahmed expressed appreciation for the great efforts being exerted by the officials of Anti-drugs administration and customs for confronting the menace of drugs and detecting the drugs prior to their smuggling into the Saudi territories. --MORE
