The 9th session of the Executive Council meeting of the Ministers of Endowments and Islamic Affairs of the OIC member states wrapped up its deliberations here today under the chairmanship of Kuwait's Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Abdullah Alma'atooq. The council categorically rejected terrorist operations, explosions, destructions and terrifying actions against innocents, which run contrary to Islamic principles and instructions. The ministers urged Islamic preachers to stand firm against the deviant thought and unearth its false concepts. The council expressed solidarity with the people of Pakistan, sending sentiments of sorrow and sympathy with the families of the deceased and injured. The meeting lauded initiatives to set up a non-government panel to organize levying Zakat (alms) and commended, Egyptian Ministry of Endowment's project to establish an Islamic Manuscripts Library, Indonesia's giant project to publish holy Quran and distribute it over Muslims in east Asia and Gambia's seriousness to carry out the decisions of the conference by establishing youth Imams and preachers training center.
